How the Scanner Works
The whole thing takes about a minute. Here is the full run-through, from loading the lab to exiting the full-screen scan.
1. Open the laboratory
Load the site on a laptop or tablet. The lab loads with a rotating wheel of foods on the left and the scanner machine on the right.
2. Pick a food or habit
Drag a bubble — pizza, chocolate, chips, broccoli — out of the spinning wheel.
3. Drop it into the scanner
Release the bubble over the glowing green slot on the machine. The lab zooms in and the scan begins.
4. Scan your child
The video goes full screen. Hold the screen near your child's belly and move the mouse across it like a scanner wand.
5. Use the controls
Left-click rewinds a moment so you can replay the reveal. Right-click pauses and resumes. Escape exits the scan.
6. Follow with a good-food scan
Run the carrot or broccoli scan straight after so the child sees the happy result too.
